Choose the grain fraction first when the project already specifies refined quartz sand. This Refined Grade material has stated SiO2 ≥99.5% and four actual mesh options for water-treatment, ceramic-raw-material and foundry enquiries.

Select the required refined-quartz fraction

The choices are 16-26 Mesh, 26-40 Mesh, 40-70 Mesh and 70-120 Mesh. Keep the selected fraction attached to the sample request and ask for the sieve distribution and method. A named range identifies the option but does not replace the full grain report used for process acceptance.

Keep the composition minimum separate from shape

The SiO2 statement is a minimum of 99.5%, rather than a single exact batch result. The shape designation is angular/semi-rounded; confirm the actual supplied grain characteristics relevant to the project. Request assay and impurity limits for the same proposed sample so chemical and physical criteria remain separately documented.

Water-treatment enquiry
Identify the system and its material-qualification criteria.
Ceramic or foundry enquiry
Specify the process and the grain and impurity requirements.

Confirm fit through the selected application

Review the matched technical and safety information before evaluating the sample. A high SiO2 minimum and a mesh option do not establish filtration efficiency, ceramic performance or foundry suitability by themselves. Keep the grade, fraction and reports with the relevant trial or qualification result, then confirm the accepted specification for a precise repeat enquiry.
