XM-CK80 offers a defined model for a ceramic or papermaking mineral enquiry. This calcined kaolin clay powder has stated Al2O3 content of 45%, moisture of 0.08% and an actual whiteness option of 85–93%. Ceramic, porcelain and papermaking are named application directions.
Review the current XM-CK80 oxide analysis
Request a current report defining the analytical basis and constituent tolerances for the sample. The body parameters state SiO2 as 50±2%, K2O as 0.045% and TiO2 as 1.08%. Confirm those measurements against the project specification before using the composition in a recipe comparison.
Agree on the selected particle grade
The size designation covers 325–6000 mesh, so identify the actual grade proposed for evaluation. Obtain the measured distribution and method rather than assuming every sample has the same fineness. Keep particle requirements distinct from the selected whiteness range.
Compare whiteness without choosing the upper endpoint
Name the required acceptance range and test method for the 85–93% option. A sample should be compared on its own measured result rather than treated as automatically reaching 93%. Powder whiteness also does not establish the colour or behaviour of a fired ceramic or completed paper product.
Qualify each process with the actual material
Use the selected sample in the intended ceramic recipe or paper system and record the relevant acceptance results. Retain the current assay, particle and whiteness reports with that trial. This makes the decision traceable to the actual XM-CK80 grade and application conditions.
