The Finished Appearance
For a white PVC profile, a filler shortlist should preserve the colour target and extrusion window together. The 501 hard-plastic listing, the 40nm-designated powder and the 600–3000 mesh GCC range are three different starting proposals. We first narrow each range to an offered grade that can be sampled.

A Consistent Forming Trial
Keep resin, stabiliser and lubricant packages identified for the comparison. Follow extrusion conditions, surface appearance and relevant impact results on the same profile geometry. Fine primary particles can still arrive as agglomerates, so a nanometre designation should lead to a dispersion check rather than an automatic approval.

Particle Preparation and Surface Condition
Mineral selection affects the colour background; milling and classification affect coarse particles; surface treatment affects dispersion in the PVC system. These variables can show up differently in powder measurements and in a finished profile. Retain both sets of results and the processing conditions when deciding whether a production grade is acceptable.
GCC: dry and wet routes
Relia uses both dry- and wet-grinding routes for GCC. Grinding and classification are connected to the selected powder's particle specification.
PCC: crystal formation
Relia produces PCC through calcination, slaking and carbonation. The precipitation route forms new particles rather than only grinding the starting mineral.
Selected surface-coated grades
Relia applies surface coating to selected carbonate grades. The actual treatment and intended application remain part of the grade discussion.
Defined carbonate checks
Routine batch checks cover whiteness, moisture and purity. Particle size and oil absorption are checked according to the grade or order requirements.

A Colour Reference for Reorders
Retain the approved profile reference and its test conditions with the filler specification. We use those requirements when discussing the proposed supply grade. A change to the colour system, filler treatment or source gives both teams a clear reason to review again.
Continue Your Material Selection
If you make rigid PVC pipe, choose calcium carbonate around pipe performance and acceptable production cost.
If you produce PVC furniture edge banding, the filler must suit both the visible finish and the way the strip bends.
